Most recently, Neways are proud to have completed the full refurbishment of St Johns Church, an 1860 Grade 2 listed buildingThe company started as a family business, operating from the home of one of the Directors back in 1971  

Based in Sheffield -covering Yorkshire and surrounding areas including: Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Cheshire, Neways Associates Ltd has seen continuous growth year upon year and today employs over 30 fully qualified tradesmen. Offering a comprehensive range of services including building maintenance, refurbishment, restoration and repair work operating in South Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.

Most recently, Neways are proud to have completed the full refurbishment of St Johns Church, an 1860 Grade 2 listed building.  The church was purchased from the diocese by Neways in 2004 it was a vacated building with severe structural and subsidence problems which made it unsafe.  A structural survey of the building confirmed that the Lady Chapel had subsidence problems Neways had no option than to demolish this section.  The Lady Chapel was an extension of the original church and therefore not listed.  The two existing stone arches have now been transferred into to the main entrance feature whilst preserving the character and appearance of the building.  The 3-year project included underpinning and stitching of the original walls.  The roof was repaired with fibreglass after the lead was stolen and velux windows installed.

A new concrete floor laid after eradicating the dry rot problem.

The church ceiling was insulated and plastered and the heating system renewed
Reinstating the old radiators.  New oak windows were designed and fitted and the original stained glass windows cleaned and repaired. The interior has now all the facilities a 21st century office requires for a dedicated team of surveyors, estimators, technical and IT support, accounts and administrative staff.
